   - Challenge:

      - This is the first factory-turned artist village & arts centre in Hong Kong. It is very new to everybody, what kind of visual identity

can best represent the uniqueness of the centre?

      - All studios are still under decorated, how to present them in an attractive way without losing the clarity of facts?

   - Process:

      - Multiple angles of the building photos are taking. The uniqueness of the building are best described by front angle and inner

courtyard photos. It is because there are interesting textures consisted of special windows and level lines within.

      - The balance of the imagined studio images are communicated with the construction parties. Those images should be balanced

aesthetically and technically, for example, no furniture should appeared in the studios.

   - Solution:

      - The interesting textures discovered in the photos are simplified into grey tone illustrations. Brevity is the key to create an

impressive identity that can easily remember by readers.

      - Images are developed based on the richness of spatial feeling and the playing of lightings on concrete structures. To show the

creative nature of the centre, a line penerates all pages with variation in art-related shapes is used.
